1. What is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP)?
A PRP is a mental health support program designed to help individuals build skills for daily living, emotional wellness, and community integration through therapy, life coaching, education, and structured activities.

2. Who is eligible for PRP services?
Our services are available to children (ages 5+), teenagers, and adults (18+ and has graduated high school) that are actively working with a licensed therapist. If you are not actively working with a therapist or social worker Unity can refer you too one.

3. Do you offer services for children and adults separately?
Yes. Unity Health Services provides age-specific programming, with separate groups and services for children, teens, and adults to ensure targeted support and developmentally appropriate care.

4. What types of services are offered through PRP?
We offer:

  • Life coaching and mentoring

  • Group therapy and discussions

  • Academic tutoring

  • Resume building and job-readiness workshops

  • Trade and certification exposure and participation

  • Recreational and therapeutic community outings

5. Do participants have to see a therapist to enroll in PRP?
Yes. To qualify for PRP, clients must be actively engaged with a licensed therapist who can refer them and coordinate care with our team.

6. How often do clients attend PRP services?
The frequency depends on individual needs and treatment plans, but most clients attend 3-4 times per month. Most adults attend 6-7 times per month. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate school, work, and family commitments.

7. Are transportation services available?
Yes, transportation is provided on select days for eligible participants. Please contact our office for availability in your area.

8. What are the hours of operation?
Our facility is open Monday through Friday unless informed otherwise, with programming offered during after-school hours for youth and daytime sessions for adults.

9. How do I refer someone to Unity Health Services?
Referrals can be made by therapists, schools, medical providers, or family members. Call us at 980-320-3621 to begin the intake process.

10. Is there a cost for services?
PRP services are typically covered by Maryland Medicaid. We can help verify coverage during the intake process. Self-pay is also an option. Please contact the office for further information.
